Hawaiian Airlines to Launch New Non-Stop Maui-Las Vegas Flights in December
Hawaiian Airlines has a big focus on Hawaiian Island as it already operates around 170 jet flights in a day to Hawaii. In 90 years of its long-serving history, the airline has become the biggest carrier of non-stop service to Hawaii from 13 US gateway cities. Besides, the airline has several recognition’s under its belt such as “topping the on-time performance” record amongst all the US carriers for 15 successive years (2004-2018) and being the best performer in providing service quality and maintaining key performance index.
Why Las Vegas?
In its bid to tap into the largest chunk of frequent-flyers from the US to Hawaii, the airline has announced the new service from Las Vegas to its home state – Maui instead of solely relying on the mainland market as all other airlines do. Las Vegas is jokingly nicknamed as the “ninth island” of Hawaii for having the largest population of Hawaiians settled outside Hawaii.
Whether you’re in Las Vegas planning for a change from the musty tropical weather, or a Maui local planning to hit the jackpot, Hawaiian Airlines is all set to make your life easier from December with its new nonstop route between Las Vegas and Kahului (on the island of Maui) on its latest A321 Neo planes after a 7-year hiatus as this route was shut down in 2012.
To make the deal even sweeter, this new route has been on an introductory sale of $199 plus another 10% off provided for all Hawaiian Miles members with the stipulation of traveling between Dec. 15, 2019 and Feb. 12, 2020.

The A321neo is the Latest Cost Saver on Mid-Haul Routes
Hawaiian Airlines operated all flights between the mainland and Hawaii on wide-body jets which had roomy interiors but it’s hard to fill all seats and tacky to break-even the cost per seat. Amidst increasing competition from Southwest Airline, Hawaiian is keen to introduce the latest narrow-bodied A321 jets on this route which have plenty of extra-legroom seats, and offer double-digit unit cost savings as well.
At present, Hawaiian is already operating A321neos on 14 routes to US continental cities including Los Angeles, Long Beach, Portland, San Diego, Oakland, Sacramento, and San Jose.
Inside the A321 Neo

In addition to the latest cabins and better configuration arrangement, passengers can expect the same Hawaiian warm hospitality, complimentary meals and in-flight entertainment, and additional overhead stowage space. However, the planes do not have a seatback IFE screen but passengers will be able to stream programs on their personal devices.
